Emma Burdine Dew May (11 Jul 1888 - 28 Mar 1978). Daughter of Sidney Adolphus Dew and Eugenia Caledonia Glass. Married Ellery Brooks May (7 Dec 1885 - 15 May 1950) on 1 Sep 1908 at Harmony Baptist Church near Greensboro, Alabama. They had seven children. Vivian Berenice , Doris Luella, Eugenia Glass, Elizabeth Kinnaird, Sydney Brooks, John Thaddeus and Ellery Brooks Jr. Emma was a teacher and housewife. Ellery was an accountant and lumber company officer. They were living near Greensboro when they died.
